My name is Davyn and I’m the Managing Director of Thread Harvest. I wanted to take a few moments to share with you a story about a second chance.

Back in 2012, I had an idea to start a profit for purpose fashion label. I was so passionate about this idea I quit my job that guaranteed me a Visa (I’m originally from South Africa) and poured everything I had into starting Black On Black.

Fast forward 2 years and I had sunk over $20K into a business that had not sold a single unit of clothing. I was tired, I was burned out, I was done. Until I received a second chance.

This second chance wasn’t in the form of funding or a new product, it came in the form of people. People willing to come alongside me, to encourage me, to spur me on and help me achieve my goal. That is why I believe in the power of second chances and the importance of working together to create change.
